A member asked:

I'm having stabbing calf pain and tightness with walking, it calms when i'm resting. i had a negative d-dimer today, any way it could still be a clot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calf pain: A blockage in a leg artery can cause this. Absent pulses in the foot makes this the likely cause. It could also be muscular injury of some type. Spinal stenosis, another possibility, is seen in older patients. Your physician can examine your leg carefully and may refer you to a vascular surgeon or orthopedic specialist depending upon the examination results.
