A member asked:

Is it normal to have a little bit of brown discharge in week 10 of pregnancy.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnant 10 w: At between 7 and 10 weeks, the ovary stops production of progesterone, and the placenta takes over, but with a slight drop in available progesterone, there might be a small amount of blood, which turns brown on oxidation. If this becomes overt blood, see your OB provider for an ultrasound and exam.
