Losing baby teeth: You didn't mention which teeth they were. Generally speaking the two longer front or two upper front teeth are lost around the age of six or so. Losing them at the age of five is well within the normal time frame. You should have your son be seen by a Pedodontist (or General Dentist) every six months and if you have any concerns. Loose baby tooth: The timing and order of exfoliation of baby teeth and eruption of underlying permanent teeth is genetically determined. While 5 is a little early for a boy to begin the process, it is well within normal limits. Your child should have been seeing Pedodontist or a General Dentist since his 1st birthday. See the Dentist just to make sure everything is in order.
