Vaginal bleeding: IUD's can be moved into the cervical canal, or not installed in the proper location , which can cause prolonged bleeding and cramping. Another possibility is pregnancy which may not be in the uterus (ectopic). See your gyn physician ASAP, who installed the IUD for a serum HCG test, ultrasound and exam , and possible removal of the IUD.
