A member asked:

What are the dangers of falling while pregnant and when should medical attention be sourced?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Falling: pregnancy: The risks of falling increase as the gestation progresses, but although it is recommended to check with the patient's OB provider, most falls are protected with respect to the fetus, secondary to the cushioning effect of the amniotic fluid. Maternal injuries if significant should be addressed in every case.
