Very Astute: Many cardiologists agree with you. 60-100 is the firing rate of the SA node, which is the primary pacemaker of the heart. Many cardiologists favor a resting rate of 50-90. Heart rate is actually far more nuanced, however. Pregnant women can easily top 110 and still be normal. Elite endurance athletes can have resting rates of 35-40. Hope this helps!

Research ?: Just how many hundreds of thousands of people did you evaluate in a proper pier reviewed study to come up with your observation ? How were the subsets of population groups controlled for ? Was an institutional review board involved in your lengthy work? When any range of normal is proposed the systems of data collection matter. You can believe whatever you wish.

60 to 100 beats : A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. Generally, a lower heart rate at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness. For example, a well-trained athlete might have a normal resting heart rate closer to 40 beats per minute.
