Pregnant?: A serum HCG level at 53 days post contact is very accurate , and if negative, eliminates pregnancy (unless there is a very recent contact). If you have not had a period, this is a normal interval for times in the pre-menopausal time frame. Serum estrogen levels are increased in this time, giving you some symptoms similar to pregnancy, but no ovulation has occurred.
