A member asked:

Is it possible to have undetected jaundice for 9 months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, unlikely: Jaundice is usally caused by high bilirubin coming either from a sick liver or from red cell damage(hemolytic anemia). Either way you would not feel well if you are jaundiced for more than few days. But the best way to know is to do a blood test and check the bilirubin level(normally it is under1.0 mg). If you are jaundiced the bilirubin level is expected to be >3mg.
