Doctor can evaluate: If one has uncomfortable (worse than mild) tummy pain, and is normally in good health, some possibilities include: appendicitis (usually lower right), diverticulitis (usually left), kidney stone (very painful), constipation (crampy on left), tumors, intestinal infections, etc... For mild pains, sometimes nothing unusual is found on exam but an exam is needed if a patient is looking for the cause.
