A member asked:

I think i have hiv im scared. i got tested 2 weeks after exposure and a month and a half after exposure and test came out negative with rapid test

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get tested again.: Some people develop antibodies late after exposure. You should take another antibody test against hiv virus 3 months after exposure or you can take a nucleic acid test today. If result comes positive for nucleic acid test you have it. If result comes positive for antibody test you need to have it confirmed with the western blot test. If both tests comes negative you do not have it.
