Absolutely!: OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is very treatable with psychotherapy. Your therapist will likely use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better cope with the anxiety that comes from not giving in to your compulsions. As you learn to cope better with those feelings, it will become increasingly easier to ignore the compulsions and it is possible for them to nearly disappear.
