It can be: Like many cancers, colon cancer can be curable if resected early enough. Some things that will help determine prognosis is the staging... (Factors include if tumor has grown into wall of colon, if lymph nodes have been involved, or if it has spread to other body parts called metastasis). Although prognosis decreases with more advanced staging. long term survival and even cures are still possible
