Soon: I assume you have done the most important thing, that is you have stopped the amoxycillin. Do you have other allergy problems? Have you ever had anything like this before? You may expect improvement over the next 24 48 hours. I assume you are not having any difficulty breathing. If you do then this means another trip to the ER.

In the event of a hives-only, but still troubling, allergic reaction, what can someone allergic to Benadryl (diphenhydramine) take? Don't wanna use an epipen for hives.
Strep/mono Tests were both negative but doc still thinks its strep. I am now on amoxicillin and prednisone and getting hives breakouts. Was on a diff antibiotic, thought I was allergic bc of hives and went to a diff doc. But Im still breaking out. ?
