what is the best medication to treat hip osteoarthritis?

Dr. Peter Ihle
53 years experience Orthopedic Surgery
There is no best-: -it’s a matter of trial and error usually. But in general a second generation NSAID is a place to start. They all can have serious side effects so best to see your PCP & be evaled, & follow his/her recommendation.you are young so if it is fairly mild on imaging,NSAIDS & activity modification help try anything, but don’t listen for a fast fix. Certainly don’t consider a THA, or revisions will B nxt
