Is it normal to have yellow crust around my stitches on my bottom lip?

Healing Stitches: Good day; The yellow crust around sutures on the outer lip is a normal sign of healing. Usually becoming browner and somewhat crusty; as the wound heals and the sutures are removed, the crust falls off and healing occurs.

Can be: The body lays down protein to heal the wound. This may appear as a yellow crust. As long as it is feeling better every day, you’re not having severe pain, you’re not having high fevers etc you are probably ok. Talk to your surgeon if concerned
