There is a group of patients that have the sicca (dry eyes, dry mouth) features of Sjögren's and also the rashes typical of sub-acute cutaneous lupus (SCLE). These patients are typically SSA (Ro) antibody positive. The caveat is that other people have systemic lupus (SLE) with secondary Sjögren's syndrome. I know it's confusing but a rheumatologist should be able to help you out.
