A member asked:

How long is it supposed to it take for a spinal fusion to heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helping fusion: There are several stages: initially, just getting over the surgery, then the initial muscle healing which can take 4-6 weeks, exercise and therapy to rebuild the muscles, over three to six months. It takes a year, or longer, for the fusion to mature.
