A member asked:

If repair surgery, can a lazy eye focus returm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe/not: The eyes function like parallel cameras, sending a slightly different image to the brain allowing depth perception. If one eye is weaker or misdirected, the brain may begin to turn one image off to select one favored image. (creating lazy eye) If this has gone on too long, surgery can align the eyes but the brain may not turn it back on.
