How is the recovery for a lazy eye surgery?

Lengthy: After eye muscle surgery the eye surface can be irritated for a few weeks with the redness lasting a few months. You should have very few activity restrictions. Sometimes, the sutures need to be adjusted a few weeks post-op delaying recovery a bit. You may also still need to patch the eye, use drops or glasses.

Not too difficult: Usually eye muscle surgery heals quickly. Some antibiotic steroid combo ointment is often prescribed. The conjunctiva will be red, and there may be some irritating sutures. Sometimes the alignment is adjusted early postop if needed (if adjustable sutures used). Recovery is dependent on the type of surgery.
