Started taking 40mg prilosec for a stomach ulcer 2 weeks ago, still having occasional symptoms, especially at night and in the morning. is this normal?

You should: mention this to your treating Physician...it may be wise to "split" the Prilosec dose (20 mgm in AM 20 in PM) ( I believe the medication comes in 20 mgm capsules, if not a drug of same type (PPI) may be available in the lower strength. Hope this is helpful
