Yes, even if...: There is no reason for a person not to get a flu shot even if she has a complex medical history, unless she had a prior bad reaction to a previous flu vaccine. A person with a complex medical history does not want an added influenza illness, and may do worse than a non-complex person would do, if both were to catch influenza. Thus, sicker people have even more reason to get vaccinated.
