A member asked:

My heart rate can drop to 44 when laid down at night im not an athlete. ecg just sinus bradycardia. moving gets it back up. when is it risk for scd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sinus Bradycardia: Many people run that range of sinus bradycardia during sleep without any consequence. If you have no structural heart disease and run rates over 50-55 when up and about and appropriate faster rates, You shouldn't worry about SCD. However you may want to avoid medications like beta blockers or certain calcium channel blockers which depress the heart rate. A cardiologist can advise you further
