A bad situation: Try to reach out to other family members or friends to convince him to be seen for a formal medical evaluation. You could reach out to his PCP's offices as some doctors still do home visit(very rare though) or prompt his PCP to reach out about an evaluation. Though unless a person has a mental ailment compromising decision making, you can't force a person to go to the hospital.
