Depends: If mom had CPX or the vaccine she is immune & it is no risk. If she gets CPX during mid pregnancy there is minor (5%) risk usually seen in odd skin scars on baby. If the mom has CPX at the time of delivery it can be deadly to the infant. CPX is quite contagious & infects any non-immune person with more than 1/2 hr of same room exposure. Incubation is 10-21 days.
