My friend has a strange foul smell(almost smells like a potato thats gone off as she explains) with her discharge. it has a milky consistency and sometimes can be a thick white colour. should she see a general practitioner or a gynaecologist?

GP or Gynecologist?: A general practitioner will typically be able to help with these symptoms by doing a vaginal exam and possibly running tests. A gynecologist will also be able to help.
