Frenum swelling from: Most likely an irritation from eating something hard or accidental abrasion from tooth brushing. Another possibility is a canker sore. All of those things will resolve on their own without treatment. However, it could also be from a gum or tooth infection and therefore it would be best to have your own dentist take a look asap.
