5 month old boy has had a recurring cough but hes fever is fine. do i need to get antibiotics or otc meds? if otc is fine which ones

No meds: The first months are troubled by their narrow nasal passages. Exposure to dust, fragrances, smoke & other irritants aggravate.Baby tries to flush these out with mucous but this often ends as congestion & produces rattling with breathing & cough. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline & suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment & this will happen less.
