This may in fact: be what is called "referred" pain ....pain due to a nerve irritation at the source of the nerve..in your case YOUR BACK!!! ( Nerve pinched between the 4th and 5th LUMBAR (Low Back) Vertebrae...Discuss this possibility...what it your mattress like??? old????? Just a thought! Hope It helps Dr Z
