Odd question: It took a while for the germs to make you sick and it will take a while for you to see any improvement. Expecting a sudden shift to the better in 3 hrs is not realistic. If your level of functioning has continued to decline to the point you cannot take in fluids or have increasing difficulty breathing, you may need inpatient care. If you can take fluids well & seem stable, give it a day.
