Having major coughing attacks. was diagnosed with acute bronchitis, and beginning signs of pneumonia i wake up coughing gasping for air like pertussis?

Maybe: If that is a concern, then you can be tested for pertussis. Homeopathic remedies like ipecac and drosera may be helpful as can elderberry. Hopefully you are on an antibiotic as well....Zithromax is a good choice. You ay need to be seen again if you are worsening or not improving.
