Vaginal bleeding: At 46, norestherone will help to ensure that the buildup of endometrial tissue from higher production of estrogen by the ovaries is shed and does not have potential for adverse effects from the estrogen. At 46 most women do not ovulate regularly, which makes the ovaries make more estrogen over a longer time frame (pituitary stimulation increases). The bleeding will stop.
