Some basics: The fetus is wrapped in several layers of protection that make up the fetal membranes. These insulate the baby from any external forces that may happen nearby, making their connection through the placenta/blood to mama the only way for any germ to effect them. Vaginal infections with yeast are distant and localized. The infection does not enter the blood. Baby will not be effected.
