Costly Eczema med: Dupixent (dupilumab) is a newly approved drug for the treatment of severe eczema when other cheaper treatments are not effective or tolerated. It costs 37,000 dollars a year in the US to take it! Obscene price, for sure. See more info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dupilumab

Skin itch/irritation: Dupixent is a drug used for dermatitis, a medical condition of the skin that may appear in the form of an itchy rash or swollen red skin because of an overactive immune system. When the skin condition becomes too severe to be treated with a topical med, Dupixent, given by injection, may be used as treatment. Side effects may include dry eyes and cold sores.

Blocking receptor: Dupixent blocks a receptor for mediators which trigger allergic inflammation. It is used for moderate -severe eczema but is only about 50% effective overall. It will likely be approved for moderate to severe asthma as well. It is costly and thus not to be used as a first-line Rx.
