A member asked:

How can i tell if i have pink eye ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eye is red: Pink eye refers to infection of the surface of the eye or conjunctiva and causes white of the eye to look pink. This can be bacterial, which usually causes a yellow discharge, or viral with minimal discharge. It may feel like there is something in the eye, but there is minimal hypersensitivity to light. Conjunctivitis can also be allergic and is very itchy. If severe pain or light sens, see doc.
