I took my lutera combination bc pill 45 minutes earlier than usual. it is my first active pill after my placebo week. is backup method needed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About BC pills...: There is no difference between taking a birth control pill on time, one hour early, or one hour late. Remember, birth control pills prevent pregnancy but do not prevent infectious germs such as those that cause chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhea, etc... A woman who is properly taking her BC pills every day that she is suppose to take them, has protection all the time regardless of which day it is.
