A member asked:

Lesion under tongue (several small flesh colored bumps and one with a white core) how do i identify if this is hsv-1 or just an unrelated sore?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tongue lesion: Ask your healthcare provider to do an immunologic blood test for IgG/IgM antibodies for Herpes I and II. If negative, then see an ENT physician or an oral surgeon so that a biopsy can be determined if necessary.
