How does one treat a cough in a child at age one?

Variety of causes: Cough can be due to a variety of causes from congestion due to upper respiratory infection, to asthma to cough due to whooping cough. Without know the etiology it is unclear how to treat. Best to followup with your child's physician for a proper diagnosis that will guide proper treatment.
