A member asked:

My serial troponin showed a rise from 41- 1392. i had a coronary angiogram. no damage. likely myopericarditis. what is this& did i have a heart attack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there are other conditions, in addition to myocardial infarction (heart attack) that can raise troponin levels, such as demand ischemia, and inflammation of the heart.
