Oral contraceptive ?: If you started your oral contraceptive pills on the 3-5th day after a normal period started, you should be protected. If you are on low dose contraceptives now, you should continue until the end of the active pills for this pack, wait seven days or take the placebo pills, and start a new pack. Taking the active pills in the evenings at about the same time will give you reliable birth control.
