Some thoughts...: Itchy skin can be an allergic reaction. We call it eczema when there is cracking, inflammation, redness, itching, weeping... often due to unknown causes. Various creams treat eczema. Sometimes itching is due to medicine effects, liver disease, kidney disease, intestinal parasites, etc... A primary care doctor can evaluate, and check for internal problems, autoimmune disorders, or infections.
