Extremely: Antibiotics are not causing the fever, the infection is. They might be making the nausea from infection worse, which can sometimes be helped if take w/food. If vomiting up all food/drink, then will need hospitalized for IV antibiotics. Untreated kidney (or other) infection can spread, cause sepsis and death--that is why they are treated.
