Bone scan reads "asymmetric uptake of radiotracer about the right hip." i have pain on the r side of my lower back which extends around my hip & leg?

The "problem": with bone scans is that they are NON-SPECIFIC, that is they do not make a diagnosis only indicate that bone pathology exists...this can vary froma recent FRACTURE to simple degenerative changes! I am sorry but I doubt that these results will help much in determining where your pain is coming from, Hope this is helpful Dr Z
