Its possible they are small swollen lymph nodes in the posterior cervical chain responsible for draining the scalp area. These nodes swell if there is an infection of the scalp, an insect bite, or something like head lice. If not nodes then how long they've been there, whether they are mobile, tender, red, or draining would be useful info
