Need supervision: The only reason that I can think of for having breathing issues following wisdom teeth removal is narcotic use. If you can breathe normally and don't have any throat swelling, be careful with narcotic dosage. This can decrease your drive to breathe normally. If you've taken narcotics and are sleepy, make sure someone is with you and can monitor your breathing.

Breathing issues: Contact the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that did your extractions. He/she is responsible for your post-surgical care. In the meantime, pile up pillows so you are sleeping in a semi-upright configuration.
