Many causes: Depends on age and symptoms. Hip joint pain is usually groin pain. Pain with motion or twisting can give concern to things like a labral tear of the hip. There is also something called fai or femoral acetabular impingement. History, physical and a simple x-ray to check for arthritis. Start with nsaid's, physical therapy and re-assess. A guided injection can be considered if no improvement.
