A member asked:

My skin is peeling on my fingers, my wrist is in a cast after a break and a surgery putting in pins. why is the skin peeling on the part (fingers) tha?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not to worry: Skin is always forming to replace what wears off naturally. When a cast is on the wrist, you are not using the fingers as much as normal so the skin builds up and sloughs. This should resolve when you get the cast off. When skin and dermal debris build up it also may contribute to itching you may feel.
