Many reasons: Genetic predispositions plus trigger often equals migraine. If your brain cells are hyperexcitable and prone to migraine it's like your brain is a stick of dynamite and whatever trigger (stress, hormones, lack of sleep, weather, certain foods etc.) lights the fuse and boom you get a killer headache.
