A member asked:

Pain on left heel after a period of inactivity. no history of trauma, except for started morning walk after 15 years gap. 35 year man?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plantar Fasciitis : This is typical of plantar fasciitis, or inflammation of the heel. Heel pain can result from atypical activity. Since you went for a long walk, after not having done so in years, you will get heel pain. It’s important to stretch before you walk, and stretch afterward. For now, to alleviate the pain, ice your foot, and gradually build up your walks. Start with short walks, and build it up.
