X-ray time: With persisting pain two days after a significant blow to the foot, see an urgent care for an X-ray series. Until then, rest, ice, compression with an ACE bandage, crutches to limit weight bearing, and anti-inflammatory medicine such as Motrin (if you can take it) will help.
