A member asked:

What causes angiofibromas/fibrous papules to develop on/around the nose? skin trauma? does removal of them leave a noticeable mark or scar?

Correct, increased: fibrous, scar tissues are a response to all trauma. The Angio (blood) word simply means more obvious blood vessels visible within the scar tissue. Removal is also a form of trauma. The key to all plastic surgery is not lack of scar tissue, scar tissue is what ties the tissues back together when cut/traumatized. The plastics strategy is to minimise the trama, needed healing & scar visibility.
